Fueling the Future
Global consumption of energy is growing at a rapid rate, one that cannot be supported with current technologies. This surge in energy usage is not only causing the prices to fluctuate uncontrollably, but is deteriorating the atmosphere faster than previously imaginable.
SidKar Technologies has developed a proprietary method of hydrogen extraction from waste, reducing environmental contaminants. The hydrogen is converted to electricity with the use of modified internal combustion engines. This novel technique is simple, cost effective and eco-friendly.
The process significantly reduces water consumption and curtails atmospheric degradation by preventing production of any greenhouse gases when generating electricity.
The company strives to be a leader in innovation and provide quality products that are sustainable. Our philosophy is simple: provide the best and most efficient products at the most reasonable rates in the industry.
Technology
SidKar Technologies' patent pending process is economical and effective; it takes environmental pollutants and converts them to a viable source of energy. Through the use of distillation and enzymatic processes, the company can effectively make large amounts of hydrogen on demand at low cost and without harming the environment.
The process battles the major disadvantage of using hydrogen as a main source of fuel. Hydrogen can be made on a need basis rather than it being stored in an unsafe and inefficient manner.
Waste collection – As collection of feedstock was a primary concern, we teamed up with manufacturers of waterless urinals. The waterless urinals provide a constant source of feedstock that will allow the continuous generation of hydrogen for electricity creation. They also add an element of hygiene as they prevent local people from urinating on the street side, decreasing bacterial contamination as well as reducing spread of disease.
Enzymatic degradation – The waste that is collected is broken down using a series of enzymatic reactions. The waste is chemically broken into water and hydrogen. Using a molecular sieve, the hydrogen is purified and the resulting water is being passed through a reverse osmosis filter to try and re-use for agricultural purposes.
Internal combustion engine – Once hydrogen has been generated, it is then combusted using an internal combustion engine. The thought behind this is that hydrogen can be as conventional fuel, minimizing the need for creation of expensive new technologies. At present, we are retrofitting and modifying 1.4 kW gen-sets to run on hydrogen that we are generating using our novel process.
About
SidKar Technologies was founded on a principle to make a lasting impact in the global energy market. Started in 2007 at The University of California, Berkeley by two entrepreneurs, Siddhartha Saha and Karan Aneja, the company has committed itself to be a leader in the alternative and renewable energy sources. Using their knowledge of chemical engineering and molecular and cell biology, they have dedicated themselves to bring low cost power solutions to developing and developed nations alike.
The company's first iteration of the prototype was built in Aneja's garage in California. After improving upon the initial idea, the company moved its operations to New Delhi, India. This was done after pursued interest by the Indian government as well as the idea that labor and manufacturing costs would be sufficiently cheaper. As a result, SidKar Green Technologies, LLP has been formed.
Today, the company is making progress on combining hydrogen generation techniques from municipal waste along with internal combustion engines in order to provide sustainable power. The company is dedicated to bring affordable power solutions to place in rural villages throughout developing nations.
SidKar Technologies is devoted to the growth and success of its customers, employees and business.
